Who is J. Kevin Turnipseed MA, LPC? 
Kevin is a Licensed Professional Counselor. He has a BA in Psychology from the University of Texas at Arlington and a MA in Counseling from Amber University. He began working in the mental health field in 1993 and received his license in 1997.
The majority of his clinical experience has been serving at-risk adolescents, youths who have been traumatized, and their caregivers. His experience consists of counseling individuals and families. Kevin has also facilitated a variety of groups including divorce recovery and multi-family.
He has a diverse clinical background that includes working in a group practice, a residential treatment center for youths, a substance abuse and psychiatric hospital, non-profit organizations, and managed care for behavioral health.
Kevin has held a variety of management positions including: Program Director, Director of Counseling, Clinical Inpatient Manager, and an Executive Director for a non-profit organization.
He has trained others for teen suicide assessment/prevention and facilitating multi-family groups. Kevin is a former member of the Arlington ISD teen suicide prevention task force.
From 1997 to 2006 he provided services on a part-time basis and opened his own office in Mansfield in 2004.
